History; Over here!

Personality; For a twelve year old boy, Dipper has quite a head on his shoulders. He's able to solve problems, puzzles, and think of multiple ways to attack a situation.

As it turned out, only a week or so after first arriving to Gravity Falls, there was a murder.

Well, okay, it was the murder of a wax figurine, but it was still serious enough that the police had to be involved. Though it was such a hard case to crack that said police couldn't figure it out themselves. So, Dipper took it upon himself to solve the mystery of who killed wax Stan. Only minutes into his investigation, he found clues. Footprints that showed a hole in one of the murderer's shoes, and an axe. Because of the axe, the first person he left to investigate was Manly Dan, the local lumberjack. However, Manly Dan informed him that the axe was a left handed axe. He went off to his other suspects and used various different ways to find out who was left handed and who wasn't. After his long search, he finally found himself the main suspect. A reporter who wrote his stories with his left hand and who also had a hole in one of his shoes, like the murderer's footprints. Yes, he thought he had this case completely solved, but it turned out Mr. Reporter actually had an alibi. He had the axe checked for fingerprints just in case there was something he missed and it turned out, there was no fingerprints. Later that evening, after studying wax Stan, he found out that the real murderer was in fact the other wax figures his Great Uncle had stored in another room. It took him all day but this twelve year old was able to figure out a mystery that not even professional police could figure out.

Another shining moment of this boy's smart was during the fair his Great Uncle set up. He went to the fair with a girl named Wendy; the girl of his dreams. Things were going smoothly up until Dipper tried a ball toss game to win Wendy one of the prizes. He ended up throwing the ball and having it hit Wendy in the eye. He left to get her ice but when he returned, Robbie, one of Wendy's friends, was already at her side; And as it turned out, he ended up asking her out and they started going steady. Dipper was heartbroken after finding this out and he moped the whole day, wishing there was some way to turn back time and fix this. Well, it was his lucky day because he ended up running into a time traveler, and he borrowed the time traveler's time machine. He went back in time and tried over 10 different ways of throwing the baseball so it wouldn't hit Wendy, but it ended up hitting her all times. So he thought. He thought, and thought, and thought, and he finally came up with a solution; He'd use his sister's help. So, with his sister, he was finally able to throw the winning ball and get Wendy her gift, without Robbie asking her out.

Though Dipper is very smart for his age, he also over thinks about just about anything.

Such as the first day he and his sister arrived to Gravity Falls, his sister fell in love with a shady looking character. Thanks to a book Dipper found earlier about paranormal happenings in Gravity Falls, he was convinced her new boyfriend was none other than a zombie. He followed them around the whole day, video taping their dates just so he could analyze them later and figure out if this guy was a zombie or not. However, at first, it didn't seem like he was a zombie after all. So this guy bled out his face and walked kind of like the stereotypical zombies in movies, it didn't mean he was undead, right?

Another instance of how he tends to think things way too thoroughly was during a party his Great Uncle held. He wanted to spend the evening with Wendy, so he wrote up a huge list of what to do during the night. However, once things started going against how he thought they were going to go, he decided he needed help. Using a magic copy machine he found earlier in the attic, he made 9 copies of himself and with the help of them, his list got bigger and more complicated. They thought of just about anything that could go wrong, like the music glitching out or Robbie asking Wendy to dance, and they found solutions to every situation they thought of. Finally, the night was going to be perfect and Dipper was going to be able to ask Wendy to dance.... though he found her needing to use the bathroom right when he was going to ask her to dance, which completely threw him off.

If something gets in the way of his plans, he can't really cooperate as well. He's really more of a "think things through" than "action first" kind of guy.

Dipper's smart and he thinks almost everything he does through but he's also a kid, and that's pretty apparent.

For one thing, he tries to be manly. Tries very, very hard. Like during the murder investigation, he wanted to solve it to prove that he was totally serious and totally a man. The policeman called him "adorable" which only made his resolve to solve the murder larger. He sneezes like a kitten, also, which really doesn't help how he wants to be seen more manly. Another time, he tried this manliness tester in the local diner so he could win free pancakes for his family but ended up loosing terribly. It bothered him the whole day and he even cried once because he ran into someone and they told him they were looking for the mailman, he took it as them saying he wasn't a male or a man and ended up running away in tears. The rest of that day, he tried his damn hardest to be manly, to grow a chest hair, and when the day was over he actually did grow some chest hair and he got really excited about it.

He also does lots of silly stuff with his sister! Like when they get excited they giggle and playfully punch each other and they often give each other brofists when congratulating each other. One time when they were hungry, they both complained and smacked their tummies together while roaring to show just how hungry they were, and another time while they were in town with their Great Uncle, it was Pioneer Day and he told them if they started talking like Pioneers they'd be dead to him. So naturally, they started talking like Pioneers and ran away laughing. Another time, during the party, they were in charge of decorating and they ended up pretending to be sick and "barfing" on each other using silly string as their barf. You can only imagine how much trouble these two get into with how goofy they are. (Also Dipper has a fake ID with googly eyes and macaroni glued onto it.) He also gets in dumb fights with his sister like most siblings and he throws small fits over things like his sister being one millimeter taller than him.

One last thing about Dipper is that he's a really caring guy. Sure he gets mad at people a lot and gets in small physical fights with his sister but he'd never actually hurt another person. He got in a fight with Robbie once, actually, over Wendy, and he was told to meet Robbie the next day at a plaza for a real fist fight. Dipper was too scared to actually go by himself, though, so he got himself a body guard to scare Robbie off (who actually ended up being a video character named Rumble McSkirmish brought to life and he told said video game character that Robbie killed his father so he'd fight Robbie.) But he really only intended for his new body guard to scare Robbie, so once Rumble started to actually beat Robbie up, Dipper immediately got scared for Robbie and tried his hardest to get Rumble to leave Robbie alone.

Along with hurting people physically, he's not okay with hurting other people's feelings, either. His Great Uncle had taken Dipper and Mabel to go fishing with him but while they were at the dock, they heard about a lake monster and decided to go check that out instead of hanging out with their Great Uncle. Well, they found out that not only was the monster fake, but they also hurt Grunkle Stan's feelings choosing a monster hunt over fishing with him, so they ended up coming back to Grunkle Stan and apologizing. Dipper felt pretty bad for leaving his Great Uncle behind.

Dipper also, above almost everything else, is protective of his twin sister. He's always looking out for her, and he's always there for her when she needs him. Such as multiple times, he's had to push her out of the way of a falling tree or save her from other creatures trying to hurt her or do something bad to her. Like Gnomes. Previously stated, Mabel had a new boyfriend who Dipper thought was a zombie. Well as it turned out, they were Gnomes, and they wanted to make Mabel their queen. Speeding as fast as he could driving his Grunkle's golf cart, Dipper came to the rescue and saved Mabel from marrying over 1,000 Gnomes. Along with saving Mabel from bad situations, he helped her out of bad relationships, too. She had another new boyfriend, named Gideon who she... didn't really want to date. She was pressured into it, and she didn't know how to dump him. So, being the great brother Dipper is, he offered to let Gideon know that Mabel didn't want to date him anymore for her..... which resulted in Gideon almost cutting Dipper in half with a pair of big shears. Dipper gets in a lot of trouble for Mabel, and he even puts her happiness in front of his own almost all of the time. Like as previously stated, during the fair he needed to use Mabel to get the winning toss and win Wendy over. Well at the same time as Dipper was at the ball toss, Mabel had won herself a cute pet pig. Seeing how she was needed to be somewhere else at the same time, she ended up loosing her pet pig because someone else won it instead of her. Mabel tried to use the time machine so she could get her pig but Dipper didn't want to loose Wendy so they had a huge fight over it. In the end, Dipper won and got to keep his timeline. However, Mabel was so depressed from loosing her pig that she refused to do anything else but hit her head over and over on a nearby pole sadly. Dipper couldn't handle seeing his sister that depressed, so he ended up going back in time, and fixing the timeline so Mabel would have her pet pig; Even if it meant the girl of his dreams was going to be dating a different man.

Abilities; Dipper is a fairly average 12 year old kid. The only unnatural thing about him is well he's a lot smarter than most 12 year old boys. I mean look at this math!

He can also climb up trees and buildings like he were part squirrel or something and he can run around for quite a bit longer than most people before he starts getting tired. And he's got a hella good resilience to pain as he's gotten himself into a lot of painful situations without so much of a whine. (Ie; He's gotten beaten up multiple times, he's fallen from some scary heights without breaking bones, he's gotten tossed to the side and thrown into objects...)

Other; He strongly believes in the paranormal and mysterious and is an active mystery hunter!
